History Of School
The past whispers wisdom to the present, offering direction to a generation forging its future," and indeed, the story of the Congregation of Sisters of the Holy Spirit echoes this sentiment. Founded in 1857 in Koblenz, Germany, by Mother Irmina Hoelscher and her companions, the congregation's roots stretch back to a time of great social and religious upheaval. Responding to the needs of their time, these women embarked on a journey that eventually led them to India, where they continued their mission of service.
Establishing their Indian province in Pune as headquarters, the sisters soon realized the necessity of founding an English medical school outside the city. This dream began to take shape in 2006, with the laying of the foundation stone on 20th February, and the official commencement of regular classes on 12th June 2006. Over the years, this seedling of education has flourished into a towering tree, now recognized as a beacon of knowledge in the city and district, with students 2200, and 81 Teachers.
From its inception, Holy Spirit Convent School has been committed to excellence, aligning itself with a vision of holistic education that fosters joyful and experiential learning. Today, with a dedicated team of educators and support staff, the school stands as a testament to the power of education to transform lives.
As the school looks ahead to the future, it will continue to nurture young minds, instill values, and inspire generations to come.
